N NÂNG CẤP PHIÊN BẢN WINDOWS SERVER


Chào các bạn, đôi khi trong quá trình vận hành chúng ta không lường trước được 1 số trường hợp cần phải nâng cấp phiên bản của Windows Server, vd: bạn đang cần mở rộng hệ thống, triển khai clustering... nhưng tính năng mà phiên bản cài đặt ban đầu của server không đáp ứng được. Bạn buộc phải nâng cấp phiên bản Windows Server mà không muốn phải cài đặt lại tất tần tật từ đầu.
Rất may mắn là từ phiên bản 2008 trở đi thì Microsoft đã hỗ trợ 1 công cụ DISM rất hữu ích cho việc nâng cấp này.
Các lưu ý:
  • Chỉ có upgrade (Standard -> Enterprise -> Datacenter), không downgrade được.
  • Phiên bản Core thì nâng lên Core chứ không chuyển Core qua GUI hay ngược lại
  • Nếu server đang là DC thì không được
Các bước đều dùng Command Prompt hoặc Power Shell đều được
  • Kiểm tra có thể nâng lên phiên bản nào, chạy lệnh: DISM /online /Get-TargetEditions

Trong quá trình nâng cấp thì windows sẽ download và install thêm 1 số feature tương ứng với phiên bản nâng cấp. Song song đó máy cũng sẽ khởi động lại đôi lần, bạn chỉ việc ngồi uống cafe và chat fb với bạn bè.

Có 1 số trường hợp bạn sẽ gặp lỗi báo key không hợp lệ (dù là key xịn). Nguyên nhân là do Microsoft có rất nhiều loại key: MAK, OEM, KMS, Volume License, Action Pack v.v.. Tốt nhất là bạn dùng key KMS public như list bên dưới, sau đó active lại bằng key xịn. Bạn đừng lo, key này là key public chính thức của Microsoft để bạn active bằng KMS server (nếu bạn có).
